The Laws of Gravity

This post was stolen from Gravity Janes, a sweet Crossfit affiliate.  Very well said. . .

  1. The farther you are from your potential for functional capacity, the closer you are to a predictable death.
  2. A visit to the gym is as urgent as a visit to the doctor.
  3. Spending time exercising is not the same thing as spending time getting fit.
  4. Your ideal body composition is lean enough for health, and fat enough for happiness.
  5. No single performance score is ever as important as the effort it took to get it.
  6. We don't care how fit you are, we care that you know how fit you are.
  7. If you're not measuring your efforts, you're not working out.
  8. Nature rewards the generalist and punishes the specialist.
  9. The work of fitness avoids anything resembling a routine.
  10. Everyone at Gravity Janes is either learning, teaching or, most often, both.
  11. There may be many things in life that are out of your control, but world-class fitness is always waiting for anyone who wants it.
