Crossfit: The sport of sport. Functional Fitness. A kick in the backside of traditional training (and the participants). This is a record of our exploits. . .
SP: 165 (PR is 175) Sq: 365 (tie PR) DL: 435 (PR is 445) Total: 965 (PR is 975 I think)
First day in CO Springs, and I was glad to see it was a lifting day. A year's worth of acclimation to 6000ft is gone.
Tried out Pikes Peak crossfit today. Little gym with all you need and nothing you don't for a class of 5-6. The group I worked with was pretty cool. One chick pulled 265# on DL, which was probably 2x body weight, and another dude pulled about 2.2x body weight.
I was going to try CrossFit Aspire tomorrow, but I'm busy with the realtor. I'll try Monday instead. I may try whatever the WOD is at a base gym to check them out.
5:05, which was their 2nd best time and about 20sec off of the record. I did the row in 1:40, which was only 10sec off their record. All this on 2 days acclimation.
Not sure what to think. It was just me and the owner. He seems driven, organized and knowledgeable, but I disagree with some of his ideas. Plus, his prices are rather steep.

Went to CF Aspire today (the 11th) and did their intro workout:
500m row
40 squats
30 situps
20 pushups
10 ring pullups

Off to CF Colorado Springs tomorrow.
