First off, I had a special first time guest today. Ashely Stevens, my good friend, decided to venture into CrossFit and see what it's all about after hearing me rant and rave about it. WELCOME ASHLEY!!

Hopefully, she is reading this and she'll decide to keep coming back day after day to be challenged, humbled, and rewarded for her efforts.

Didn't get my splits straight but between 1:30 and 2:00ish for both run and overhead squats. Ouch, the wrists kinda hurt now.

Welcome Ashely (or is it Ashley??) I hope you can kick Alan's butt because Lord knows I haven't, except that one time :-)

Scaled this per BrandX, 5 rounds, 65 pound overhead squat.

Total time: 24:18.52

Interesting thing happened. In the first rounds, I could barely manage 5 squats but by the end I did 11 in a row. It seems to be more of a balance issue than an absolute strength issue. I think I'm going to start warming up with the bar instead of the PVC as I have been so far. Sweating up a storm tonight. Actually worked out in the driveway at 10:23 just so it would be a little "cooler" out. I'm sure the neighbors and cars driving by think I'm crazy!

Oh whoops, I misspelled that. Ashley...got it right the 2nd time!

I'd agree with you Rob, it is an issue of balance. I was having a tough time keeping my shoulders stable...I'm feeling it right now I'll say that.
