
Picked up a great book recently. I highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in Strength Training or getting better at anything you do. Part coaching advice, lots of life advice.
His basic training concepts:
1. The body is ONE piece
2. There are three kinds of strength training
Putting weight overhead
Picking it up off of the ground
Carrying it for time or distance (He does a mile with a bodyweight sandbag for time!)
3. All training is complementary
Just in case you didn't know, Dan was tapped by Glassman early in the Crossfit.com days but when he wouldn't say that Crossfit was the "best" type of training, Glassman cut ties with him. Damn shame.
