WOD 1.09.09

Ten rounds for time of:

3 Weighted Pull-ups, 45 pounds
5 Strict Pull-ups
7 Kipping Pull-up

For weighted pull-ups place a 45 pound dumbbell between the legs above crossed ankles and jettison the dumbbell after third rep and continue with strict pull-ups and then the kipping pull-ups. Coming off the bar or going to ground constitutes termination of a set.
Post time and number of sets to completion.

26:17 40 sets

First 8 rounds as Rxed, first round unbroken
Dropped to 35# on 9th and 10th rounds; try as I might, I couldn't get the chin over the bar anymore with 45#

This was an odd one; it really pointed out the difference between a strict pullup and a kipping pullup. The kips felt extremely easy in comparison.

Nice work. I'm modifying this one since my pull up strength is still in it's infancy. Probably will do 1-3-5 and use a 35-40 lb dumbbell since I tried a 45 today and couldn't pull above the bar. Will combine this with Front Squats. . .
