DNF
3 rounds, 18:30

Subbed 30 jumping pullups per round for the rope climbs.

I was defeated by our gym today. To set the stage:
Our treadmills are on the second floor of the gym. We have 4 pullup bars. Two are unanchored on a free-standing cage, one is on the cable crossover machine, and one is set at about 7' off of the floor (great for midgets). There is no open wall space, so we go outside to do HSPU, and I kick against a jersey barrier/sandbag wall. All told, it takes about 60 sec to walk from the treadmill to the wall.

Well, I did the first .25mi in 1:37, and went to do HSPU, only to find that some jackass spit out a dip right where I needed to put my hands. That grossed me out completely, so I went in search of another place. After pulling down a set of curtains with my feet, I resigned myself to high-angle pushups. This whole process took about 7min. So, by that point, I tried to make up time on the jumping pullups and nearly died. It didn't help that there were some jackasses doing single-arm tricep pushdowns while staring at the mirror on the only machine with a pullup bar usable by my big ass. In some ways, jumping pullups are harder than the kipping variety. So, anywho, it took about 10min to get the first set done. I nearly killed myself on the 2nd and 3rd sets, despite the walking breaks between locations, and was just sick of the whole process (more specifically our gym and its denizens) after 3 rounds. I think it's a good workout, but you must have a CF gym to do it properly.

I know the feeling. It's the only saving grace that I have to working out in the dungeon at JT's. Can't wait to put in the home gym. (bumpers and bar coming this month.)
