Crossfit: The sport of sport. Functional Fitness. A kick in the backside of traditional training (and the participants). This is a record of our exploits. . .
135 Clean and Split Jerk x3 Burgener technique drills x 5 minutes
The further along I got, the worse my form became so I backed down the weight. Still having a problem with leaning forward coming out of the hole. My hips and shoulders are rising at different rates. Suggestions for correction?
Are your hips rising faster than your shoulders, or vice versa? I find that if I focus on driving my hips up, I handle heavy weights much more easily. Even if my hips outpace my shoulders a hair, it seems to work well and I maintain my balance.
My hips are coming up first. I took Alan's advice and watched the video. It was exactly what I was doing, turning the hips over instead of leaning forward and maintaining the core chain tension. Good stuff and looking forward to trying it next time. The Bar gets here tomorrow!!!!

About your squat. Go to the Crossfit main page and look up the movie from Saturday. Midline Stability and The Squat. I think that may help some.

Since I did this the other day, I'll move this here for the archives:
