So. . .I've been doing a lot of reading as of late on several other blogs that branch off from the Crossfit methodology. Mountain Athlete and Gym Jones are the 2 main sites. Gym Jones is interesting in that it is extremely controversial. The founder, Mark Twight, stole intellectual property and copyrighted it as his own. Since then he has promoted his "style" without abandon, even landing an article in outside magazine this month. He also just announced that he is offering a Crossfit Journal-esque website of his own. Cost $500.00! I digress. The thing that I find most interesting about these 2 sites is in that they have a similar philosophy about well rounded fitness but are taking the Crossfit ideal to the next level. Longer workouts, rounds for time instead of a simple warm-up, work out, and cool down. At times, I think this would be useful on days which are "too easy." I say that lightly. . . Surf over to their websites. Look at their workouts. Post thoughts to comments.
