Rest Day
If the weather gods smile, and we remember a lighter, this is where we'll be in 6 months...

Worked on running again today.
After a good warmup, I ran 4x400 with 2min rests. Paces were 8.6, 8.7, 8.7 (picked up to 9.0 after .1mi) and 9.0 (picked up to 9.3 after .1mi).
Observations:
Running fast feels MUCH easier on the legs than running slow. This is horribly counterintuitive. Despite rubbery legs, felt pretty good. I'll try 6 intervals next time, and then start working 800m intervals in to the mix.
Nice photos. The Reid pictures that you posted are less exposed appearing than the previous photos. Can't wait. Strong work with the running. How easy are you finding POSE to perform?
POSE is interesting. The technique requires my constant attention (particularly landing on the ball/mid-foot vice heel). The "fall" and the figure-4 position are a bit more natural, but also require attention.
Generally, I find that focusing on that technique helps a ton. 8-min miles feel easy cardiovascularly, but hurt the legs. 7-min miles feel rough cardiovascularly but are easier on the legs. I think that has to do with pace count and the need to minimize the amount of time in contact with the earth at the faster pace.
With limited data, I'd say I like it. It's also the first time since elementary school that I've viewed running as a technique-based exercise vice just moving. I don't know if POSE is the perfect tool, but any technique is better than what I had!
