And I ran 5 miles earlier today and about 4.2 yesterday. I'm feeling really spent though. Geez Louise.
Dang Al; I wasn't sure a sub-3:00 round was possible for a mere mortal. Impressive!
haha thanks Paul. I really went balls to the wall last round. Those 3 minute spacers between sets let me replenish. Hey, when are you moving to the Springs?
Wow, I second Al's comment of "Fucking Shit." I think I dropped the f bomb about every 10 seconds during round 3 and 4. By round 5 I had stopped caring and just wanted out of this suffer fest. Nowhere near the times of you monsters. A couple of things I realized. Nutrition is becoming more and more key. I'm starting to try the zone diet and not doing too poorly. Dinner is the holding point and my crazy work schedule makes it near impossible to eat on a "schedule" but I'm going to make the most of it. Wish me luck. Today I'm off and completely blew the diet, having not eaten in about 7 hours. Just busy around the place and not thinking to eat Whoops. I felt that when I went to eat. . .
Anyhow, my times:
Total: 47:23.79
Round 1: 5:10.42
Round 2: 7:08.75
Round 3: 7:57.88
Round 4: 8:18.11
Round 5: 6:45.63
Another thing that happened today is I finally got a really good kip going on. In the second and third rounds it really felt good. Round 4 fell apart and by round 5 I got it back. Makes a HUGE difference. In round 4 I was doing 9-10 pullups and then sets of 3-4. Round 5 I was able to do 14 and then 6 and was off to the races. Fun but hard stuff.
yay! Rob is a kipper now. It's all downhill from there Bob-O. Keep up the good work
Way to go Rob! Once you get that kip going, it's actually EASIER to do 10 in a row than two sets of 5. Crazy, huh?
I just found out that I'm coming home in early-mid March (about the 10th) and my school starts in CO Springs on 8 June. I need to verify my reporting date, but it looks like I may be able to span May-June if you can get the time off Rob.
After June, let me know if you ever need a climbing buddy Al.
Wow, I think this is the most commented on post yet. . .
PAUL'S COMING HOME!!! WOO HOO
'Bout time :) Anyhow, I have the time if you do. I have 19 days of vacation left until July 31st when it disappears forever. Only planning on using 4 more and then will just add onto my "normal" months. I think the wife will let me go for about 10 days so if we want, we can go mid may or may into June. I'm already working a shift or 2 extra per month to make up for the time off but the 27th of May until the 5th of June would be awesome (other than dealing with the memorial day crowds (JEfferson over the holiday??) LEt me know.
